Bond was set at $100,000 unsecured for a man charged with two counts of sharing sexually explicit images of a woman without her consent.
Bobby Holtzclaw, 19, of 8287 Red Hill Rd., Whiteville, was arrested Thursday on warrants that were taken out Feb. 14. He was charged with two counts of disclosing private images of an adult. He was released on bond.
The warrants show that Holtzclaw is alleged to have shared images of the victim engaged in a sex act, and that the victim could be identified in the images. The images were shared without the woman’s knowledge or permission, according to the warrants.
Disclosing private images – commonly called “revenge porn” – is a felony in North Carolina. Violators can be fined, jailed and in some cases, subject to being on the sex offender registry.
