Light the Lake at the Boys and Girls Home was a little more special this year.
The annual event to raise awareness of child abuse gave the Home a reason to host its largest celebration ever, celebrating the 70th year of the Home, the 25th anniversary of foster program, and 20th year of adoption services through the home.

Food trucks, bounce houses, kids games, and multiple food trucks set up at the events center. At 5 p.m., visitors participated in the traditional candle walk to the lakefront, honoring the survivors of child abuse and commemorating National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
