There were no charges after a woman attacked another woman Wednesday, forcing the victim to improvise a stylish defense for herself.
The sheriff’s office said Tanieka Vonka Davis and Ophelia Jenrette got into an argument on McSllister Drive, and Jenrette allegedly punched Davis, who grabbed a “hair styling device” to defend herself. Jenrette then pulled a knife on Davis and stabbed her in both arms. EMS was called to treat Davis.
Jenrette sustained a laceration to the head, the report said. She told Deputy C. Wilson that she as defending herself and her children from Davis. She left the scene during questioning. A records check later showed Jenrette had an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
Jenrette chose not to press charges, but was advised to contact a magistrate if she decided otherwise.
