Multiple felonies have been levelled against three suspects in a property theft case.

Sheriff Bill Rogers credited technology and tips in assisting in the investigation.

Thomas Bradley Blackwell, 56; Jessica Nichole Pace, 35; and Anthony Soles, 48, face charges after a stolen four wheeler was recovered and returned to the owner, the sheriff’s office said.

Blackwell gave his address on jail documents as 2499 Old Pine Log Rd., Chadbourn. Pace listed her home as 10898 S. College St., Clarkton. Soles address was not immediately available.

Blackwell and Soles are charged with felony larceny and receiving and possessing stolen goods. Pace was charged with possessing and receiving stolen property. All three are out on secured bonds.

Rogers credited the Criminal Investigative Division as well as concerned citizens and technology with solving the theft. The Honda four-wheeler has since been returned to its owner.

Rogers encouraged all residents to consider installing surveillance cameras on their property, as these tools significantly aid law enforcement in investigating and solving crimes.

“Our goal is to serve and protect the citizens of Columbus County,” said Rogers. “With the assistance of technology and a united community, we can continue to make Columbus County a safer place for everyone.”
