A convicted felon caught with a handgun will be sentenced in March. Bobby Jaquane Toon, 31, was arrested in January 2024 after fleeing from law enforcement. He was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, and placed under $15,000 secured bond.
Conway Police are asking for the public’s help locating 16 year old Kenche Denise Green. The African American girl was reported missing this morning from Duckett Street around 12:40 a.m. Kenche is five feet two, weigh 102 pounds, and has pink and blue braids in her hair. She is wearing a blue or black jacket, jogging pants and a multicolored bonnet. Contact CPD at 843.248.1790 if you see her.
Someone stole a storage building from a Bolton home December 20. The building was valued at $2,000. An unoccupied building was reported damaged by fire on Ronald Lane near Chadbourn the same day. On December 21, someone burned a structure on J.D. Cartrette Road just after 11:00 p.m. Both fires are considered suspicious in nature.
Someone fired at least one round at a home on Reynolds Road near Tabor City on the night after Christmas. No one was injured, but the home was occupied at the time. Damage was estimated at $500. The shooting is under investigation.
