A Hallsboro woman went back to jail after just four days free when she was found unconscious in her neighbor’s yard, while her dog was allegedly killing a chicken.

Amber Nicole Muse, 48, was arrested Dec. 9 for second degree trespassing and resisting an officer. She was out on bond when she was arrested Saturday (Dec. 14) on multiple charges of trespassing and resisting. Her bond was set at $2,000 secured. Her address was listed as 122 Bussy Road, Hallsboro. She bonded out the next day.

Deputies were called to the Dollar General on Sam Potts Highway Dec. 9 when a manager complained that Muse had been banned from the store for shoplifting in June. When a deputy attempted to escort Muse out of the business, she pulled away. The deputy used a “soft hands” technique to detain her until another deputy arrived and took her to the magistrate’s office, where she was charged and jailed, then released on bond.

Witnesses to the Saturday incident said Muse was in a neighbor’s yard on Bussy Road  apparently unconscious while her dog attacked and killed a pet chicken. The residents of the home found her and called 911. Muse had apparently gone past several no trespassing signs and a fence to access the property.
