Christopher Heimnick is being held under $1.5 million secured bond on charges of arson and first degree murder.
The Sheriff’s Office said Heimnick was charged after the structure fire that left Wendell Smith dead on Manley Smith Road in Nakina Saturday. A woman in the house escaped injury.
