Tuesday is deadline for benefit butt sale

Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the deadline for the Boston Butt sale to raise money Lake Waccamaw Firefighter David Vela and his family. The Velas lost everything in a house fire. David is in serious condition in a burn center, with injuries to his lungs.  The sale is sponsored by the Columbus County Fire and Rescue Association. 

The deadline was extended until Tuesday, Dec. 14. Tickets are $30. Pick up will be on Dec. 23 from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. at 205 Lee Avenue in Whiteville.
