County Schools Move to Remote Instruction for Thursday

Due to the potential arrival of Hurricane Idalia, Columbus County Schools will move to remote instruction for Thursday, Aug. 31.

County schools will be on a regular schedule on Wednesday, but there will be no athletic games or travel activities after school. Practices may still be held if it is safe to do so.

Students will receive guidance on learning activities during class Wednesday, and teachers will be available during the school day on Thursday to assist students.  It is very important that students complete assignments and engage in the learning process during this time.

Technical support will be available on the Columbus County Schools website for any student having difficulty with technology.

Pre-K and Kindergarten students will receive instructions from their teacher if they have not yet received devices.

Decisions about schedule changes on Friday will be made as the storm progresses.
