Crews are searching for a teenaged girl who wandered away from home on Hallsboro Road South  around 9 p.m. Jettie Edwards, 15, is a white female. She weighs 105 pounds and stands 5’1” tall. Jettie was wearing a pink sweatshirt, blue jeans, and tan shoes, according to the sheriff’s office. She is reportedly autistic. Whiteville Police have identified the man who died in a single vehicle wreck on U.S. 74 today (Monday). Anthony Shannon Arp, 44, of Bolton died when he wrecked in the westbound lane near Exit 242, according to a press release by WPD. Developing Story One person is dead after a single vehicle crash on U.S. 74 this morning (Monday). Whiteville Police Chief Paul Rockenbach said the driver’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The wreck occurred near Exit 242 between 10:30-11 a.m., the chief said. The driver was apparently the only occupant of the vehicle, which witnesses said was overturned in a swampy area.
