For the second time in less than three days, a female was shot in the Chadbourn area Monday.
The juvenile, whose name and age were not released, was shot in a home in the 1200 block of Dessie Road, the sheriff’s office reported. The victim was transported to an area hospital.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the shooting.
Chief Anthony Spivey of the HCadbourn Police said a woman was shot and critically wounded Saturday in her yard on West Smith Street in the town. Responding officers found the woman between car and a dogpen, Spivey said. She was shot multiple times, but survived and is in an area hospital. That victim’s name was also not immediately released.
The 2 p.m. shooting occurred when a number of people, including children, were in their yards in the area, Spivey said.
