Mrs Hattie Lee Malloy Paisley of Fairmont, passed away on Tuesday November 23, 2021 in the comfort of her home. She was the daughter of the late Mrs. Jannie Richardson Malloy and the late Mr. Harvey Malloy.
Hattie was one of three siblings who both preceded her in death; James and Ida Pearl. Hattie was raised in a sharecroppers family. The family worshipped at Ohavah AME Church and she took part in the activities of the church.
Hattie graduated from high school and soon after was united in holy matrimony with Rudolph Paisley. They were the proud parents of one daughter (“Bunny”) Hattie Mae who preceded her in death, and six sons; Ritchie, Roy, Ronnie, Rudolph, Ronnie and Russell. Hattie was always young at heart and enjoyed her children and grandchildren to the highest. She was blessed in many ways til the end.
Hattie mostly worked as a self employed agent in Life and Health insurance. She was the insurance agent of many residents of Robeson County and other surrounding countys as well. Hattie was strong, independent, loving, compassionate, selfless and a perfect example of “love thy neighbor as thy self.” She would put her need on hold to go and help someone else. She was always immaculately dressed, and wearing a big smile. The song “If I can help somebody as I pass along, If I can cheer somebody with a word or song, If I can show somebody, she (he) is traveling wrong, then my living shall not be in vain. Hattie loved driving her automobile, she loved baking delicious breads and cakes, and preparing delicious Sunday meals for the family.
Hattie’s link in the family chain has again been added with those who preceded her in death: her daughter Hattie, her parents and all of her siblings.
Her legacy of love will be continued through those that she loved so very much: Six sons, Ritchie Paisley and Roy Paisley of Fairmont, NC; Robbie (Tina) Paisley and Ronnie Paisley of Lumberton, Rudolph Paisley of Qutar, Iran and Russell Paisley of Virginia Beach, VA.; a host of grand children, and great grandchildren, along with lots of first cousins and other relatives and friends.
