Cheryl “Terri” Britt Hammonds, age 72, of Whiteville, NC died Saturday, March 12, 2022 in Waterbrooke of Elizabeth City. She was born September 4, 1949 in Columbus County, NC to the late Thomas Randolph and Mary Cribb Britt.
She is survived by her sons, Tom Hammonds (Dana) of Elizabeth City, NC, Jeff Hammonds (Jessica) of Whiteville, NC, Anthony Hammonds (Sunnie) of Chadbourn, NC; brother, Charles Britt of Sanford, NC; grandchildren, Thomas Hammonds, Kadance Hammonds, Ashton Hammonds, Kolton Hammonds, Laney Alexandria Hammonds, Tylor Duncan, Chandler Duncan and Makenzie Duncan; best friend, Susan Slater.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Farrah Hammonds and grandson, William Hammonds.
Her visitation will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in Peacock Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 12:00 PM in the Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Columbus Memorial Park.
