Thomas “Buddy” Carroll, age 77, of Delco, NC died Sunday, May 1, 2022 in his home. He was born August 18, 1944 in Columbus County, NC to the late Thomas Dare and Sara Lee Carroll.
He is survived by his fiancée, Eleanor Turner of Delco, NC; his daughter, Sheri Lynn Carroll and her husband, Richard Meehan of Wilmington, NC; his brother, Hubert Dare Carroll of Riegelwood, NC; and his grandchildren, Sara Meehan, Kate Meehan and Richard Meehan, III.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Champion and his brothers, David Carroll and Royce Carroll.
Buddy, as he was known by many people, was a business owner and active member of his church and community. He faithfully served on the cemetery, building and grounds committees and as the assistant Sunday school teacher for the teen Sunday School Class.
His visitation will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Livingston Baptist Church.
His funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 12:00 PM in Livingston Baptist Church with Rev. Matthew Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Meehan, III, David (Buster) Parker, Wayne Wilkins, Devone Edge, Joshua Turner and Nicholas Turner.
