A fight on Quail Drive led to a shooting Sunday.
The sheriff’s office reported that a man called 911 after another man he knows came to his home and began arguing. The dispute between two men came to blows, with the victim hitting the resident “multiple times,” the report said.
The resident told deputies he repeatedly warned the shooting victim to leave the property, or he “was going to be shot.” When the second man refused to leave and advanced toward the resident, he fired one shot from a .22 caliber handgun, striking the second man in the shoulder. He was transported by EMS to Columbus Regional for treatment.
The incident is under investigation.
