Parents and staff spent several tense minutes Friday after a report of possible violence at an area school. The sheriff’s office said the case was “unfounded.”
Deputies were called to the West Columbus Elementary School just after 9 a.m. after someone called in a threat to the Cerro Gordo campus.
No evidence of a threat was found, the report said.
