Boil Advisory Raised for District V

Water coming out of the faucet

County water customers in District V are under a boil advisory due to repairs to the system.

Customers from 8699 to 9719 Swamp Fox Highway East and on Clemmons Drive are affected, a county press release said this afternoon (Thursday).

Emergency repairs to a water main break will cause water to be reversed throughout the system, which could lead to discoloration of water.

The repairs should be complete and the water clear within 24 hours, but as a precaution the county is encouraging anyone in the affected area to boil water used for consumption for at least one minute.

Customers with continuing problems should call 910.770.2158.
