Bishop Rudolph Powell

Bishop Rudolph Powell 83 of Whiteville transitioned into eternal rest on January 25, 2022.

For the safety of you and others please follow CDC Guidelines. Social distancing and face coverings is Required. Burial will follow in Welches’ Creek Cemetery in Whiteville, NC.

Bishop Powell served as Presiding Bishop of Columbus Conference of the Freewill Baptist Denomination for six years and over 26 years pastored churches within the denomination, Cedar Hill, Mount Zion and First Free Will Baptist Churches.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Powell and family. Bishop Powell will be greatly missed!
