Despite his busy schedule, the Real Whiteville Santa is back in his headquarters on Smith Street in Whiteville.
Santa will be welcoming visitors Wednesday through Saturday, from 3:30 p.m. until 7 p.m., through Dec. 23. Due to presiding over parades in Whiteville and Chadbourn, he will not be available for visits on Saturday, Dec. 2. He will be riding in both parades, as well as making a grand entrance into Chadbourn Saturday morning on a locomotive.
The Real Whiteville Santa has been a tradition here for 53 years. Visits to the cottage under the water tower are free. The collection of blowup Christmas decorations grows every year, and kids and their parents are welcome to spend time enjoying the displays while waiting their turn with the big guy.
Columbus County Farm Bureau sponsors Santa’s Whiteville location. Parking is available on Smith Street, beside the Farm Bureau and on the nearby courthouse lot.
