Youth Found with Drugs at CMS

For the second time in less than a month, a student at Central Middle has been caught with illegal drugs.

The sheriff’s office reported that the 13 year old male allegedly had a small quantity of marijuana wrapped in duct tape along with a lighter on his person Dec. 8. The contraband was reported at 10:40 a.m. No additional information was immediately available in the case.

The case was the second one involving drugs at the school in less that 30 days.

 On Nov. 20, a teacher found another 13 year old male student had five Vivance pills with him at Central. That student was given school punishment and turned over to his parents.

Also in November, a seventh grader was served with a juvenile petition after a teacher at Tabor School smelled marijuana, and contacted a school recourse officer. The deputy discovered a plastic bag with five marijuana buds in a student’s belongings. The sheriff’s office reported that the 13 year old boy’s parents were contacted.
