Critics Say Ad Crossed The Line

Lt. Governor and gubernatorial hopeful Mark Robinson lambasted Democrat Rachel Hunt yesterday for a TV ad some have considered racist. Hunt, who hopes to replace Robinson in the state’s second chair, is shown on a TV commercial holding a mop and bottle of hydrogen peroxide, which she says is what she’ll use to clean Robinson’s current office.

The ad has been pulled from some social media platforms without comment. Critics say using a whitening agent on an office held by a black lieutenant governor is going too far.
