Senior Citizen Charged with Drug Trafficking

The sheriff’s office has arrested a senior citizen from Leland on drug trafficking charges.

Freddie Everett Ross, 81, was charged with three counts of trafficking opiates, and sale and delivery of opiates. His bond was set at $85,000. Arrest reports show Ross had address in Leland and at 295 Lena Dale Rd., Delco.

The sheriff’s office said in a press release that Vice-Narcotics Investigators were working a case involving sales in the east end of the county. They allegedly made a controlled buy of 100 oxycodone pills from Ross on July 20.
